WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

 

We are the Glen Ridge, New Jersey chapter of the Democratic National Committee. Our goal is to promote the progressive values of the Democratic Party, raise money for Democratic candidates, get out the vote and raise awareness about the issues that Democrats care about. We seek members interested in preserving and improving democratic institutions and governance and those willing to take an active role in shaping policy, holding office, keeping holders accountable, and working to elect the best-qualified candidates at all levels of government to advance those policies that we believe are in the best interest of our community.

WHAT WE DO

Accomplishments:

 

  • Held phone banks in rented halls during last year’s election.

​

  • We held meetings and formed committees. Canvassing, NJ Politics, and Gun Control to name a few.

​

  • We hosted local representatives – Freeholders Carlos Pomares, Patricia Seebold, and Phyllis Salowe.

​

  • We canvassed for candidate Laura Fortgang who ran in the 26th Assembly District. We also hosted a “Meet & Greet” and held a fundraiser for her where we raised close to $5K.

​

  • We participated in a Mikie Sherrill Town Hall in Montclair.

​

  • Canvass for candidates in neighboring states. PA, NY, and of course our home state of NJ.

​

  • Letter-writing campaigns and phone banks for key battleground states WI, MI, PA, and beyond.

​

  • GRDC membership recruitment campaign targeting the 2,400 registered Democrats in GR.
