WHAT IS THE MOST SECURE WAY OF RETURNING MY BALLOT?

We strongly urge you to utilize the Ballot Box provided by the Board of Elections, located in front of the Glen Ridge Municipal Building. It is safe and secure and being monitored by security cameras 24/7 and ballots are collected daily by Essex County Election Officials escorted by the sheriff’s department.

WHAT IF I WISH TO VOTE EARLY IN PERSON?

Hand in your ballot at the Essex County Board of Elections located at 465 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Newark, during office hours. 

 

MY COLLEGE STUDENT(S) IN ANOTHER STATE:

If you receive their ballot(s) by mail, forward to them ASAP so that they can Vote-By-Mail.

IF YOU ARE VOTING IN PERSON ON ELECTION DAY:

1- You can only drop off your mail-in ballot at the Glen Ridge Train Station or Women’s Club.

2- You can only cast a provisional paper ballot on Election Day.  

Provisional ballots will have to be processed and verified at the Board of Elections prior to being counted and that can take 10-12 days.  

 

We cannot emphasize enough how important it is that you vote early and prior to the Election Day in order to avoid overwhelming the polls on the day of the Election. Please share this information with your family and friends, and get out the vote!
